While working with the clients, I’ve realized they’ve all heard about the STAR method or the STAR technique when interviewing. However, not all of them knew what exactly it referred to. What is the STAR method?

First of all, let’s look into the meaning of the acronym. It stands for Situation, Task, Action, and Result.

Next, you need to know when it’s used. It is used in behavioral questions. What are those? Well, basically, those are questions that reveal your character traits, skills, and abilities to handle different situations.

For instance, it can be the question where the interviewer asks you about a time you faced a challenge or a failure. Furthermore, it can be a question about how you communicate with people and handle pressure.
